November wish

I enjoyed coming home early and we did have some trick or treaters. They weren't the real small little kids, but they kepted the candy tradition alive. I play a lot of computer games hoping I would get good at them. I think it is like the carnival games that is rigged so you can't win. Dancing with the stars is on and I hope to see some good dances. I want the rest of the week to go well. May everyone be happy and have a wonderful November.

Saturday at Home

It seems a lot longer between writings on this blog. Time has just run away with me. I have schedules to keep and little me play time. My sister is off to work today with a 3 dollar raise and sore muscles. I may just plop back on the couch and get a bit extra sleep. Tomorrow is a time change where everything is pushed back an hour later. I come home an hour later and go to work an hour later. Halloween falls on Tuesday and I hope to come home a bit earlier to see the trick or treaters. It should be kind of fun.

Debates on TV

It is real cool this morning and I go to work. The debate between Katherine Harris and Bill Nelson was pretty lively last night. Tonight will be Charley Crist and Jim Davis. Mom will enjoy the cool weather here and probably take a walk. I do look forward to coming home and watching the debates this evening.

I had a pretty relaxing weekend Friday night. It was a PBS night full of Andre Bocelli at Tuscany and Andre Bocelli on ice. Both mom and I love his music and didn't get to sleep till well after midnight. Saturday was no movie, but I did get to see the ocean in the evening. Glendon my sister went for Poll training and Sunday morning she went to work at her ranch hand job at the University Of Florida and came home real sore. Sunday mom and I went to see Agatha Christie's An Unexpected Guest which we left at the middle. We both caught ourselves drifting off to sleep. Mom went over to Publix to pick up some noodles for chicken and noodles and I went to the ice cream shop that is being sold to someone else. I enjoyed a milk shake of mint chocolate chip and pumpkin swirl. We went home and I broke a lid to an iron pot on the floor. It was an accident, because it fell when I was trying to lift both the lower pot and the lid at the same time. I was very apologetic about dropping the lid. The soup however turned out really good. The day just kind of drifted away afterwards. Hopefully the bikers are gone and the work week will return to a usual routine.

Thursday has arrived

I got only one pot of coffee brewing this morning. I am out of my famous chocolate cherry cordial coffee that I like so much and is now harder to purchase. There are so many Barnies stores closed including the one at West Oaks Mall which I would visit on my lunch hour, if it was open. I haven't written much, because I have been playing online web video games to stretch and challenge my mind. My dailey routine of going to work and coming home is the same and I have been writing an e-mail complaint to a restaurant because of their poor service. I have already taken care of my voting so I can concentrate on work related issue. I don't have to worry about getting through the poll line on voting day. The field of Black-eye Sussies are gone, but there are still some golden rod along the sides of the road I see on my trip home from work. The weather man said cooler weather next week. I am ready for it and I look forward to it. The week is almost over and the weekend will be here and time for some new adventures.

The feel of fall

It is Saturday the 14 th. day of October and the day is over. Mom and I had dinner which was a pork loin cooked in the crock pot for five hours with barbecue sauce. It turned out real good and the sauce thickened up. The weather has been on the cool side and there has been little need for the air conditioning. I got to talk with my Uncle from California and he is going into the hospital to remove a broken bone in his nose. He said he got that way as a kid playing football and the ball hit him in the nose. It feels like fall and I like seeing the golden rod out in bloom and the rain trees change from yellow to red. The pumpkins are being sold at the Methodist church for Halloween or a very large pumpkin pie. My sister has only one more day of work this weekend and then she has next week to recover and do things around her place. I voted absentee so I don't have to worry about voting on Election day. I am glad to have that taken care of so I can listen to the results that night to see how everyone's vote counts.

Thursday is almost over

Mom got a new refrigerator with all the bells and whistles. It has ice and filter water on the outside. It is a whirlpool and one side is frig. and other side is freezer. Mom says she has to toss out three filled up bends of ice before using it. It is a lot nicer than the other one which was starting to freeze up in the freezer already. It is nice to have something new to play with. I hope to enjoy this very much. The days have been getting shorter and I am starting to drive home in the dark just as the sun is setting in the West. I have no day left over in the evening. I am glad tomorrow is Friday; even thought, it is Friday the 13th. I am hoping for a good day tomorrow and to come home and enjoy the evening and the weekend. I also wish for some cooler weather that the weather people have been promising would be here.

Nice Tuesday weather

I was happy to be home last night, but the evening went so fast. I really couldn't enjoy it. My sinuses are affected with the nice weather. It is suppose to rain towards the end of the week so maybe my sinuses will be better.

Monday wishes

It is Monday October 9, 2006 and the weather may be a bit cooler. I did see a shooting star last night and it was like someone throwing a flaming white ball across the night sky. The moon also made an appearance and was like a lop sided egg. I hope for a good week ahead and very productive work stuff to be done. I know my sister has a few days to recover from all her aches and pains from the weekend of work. I want a wonderful day and I want everyone to have one as well.

Sunday is here

Last night we got a lighting storm that was a show. It is always more mysterious when lighting occurs after dark. I wanted to get a bath, but I had to wait until the storm was over. I saw the storm cell coming to New Smyrna, but it didn't have the purple rotation that was there earlier when it went through South Apopka. When you see it on Doppler in purple that means there is a tornado in the area. In South Apopka, a roof got blown off of what looked like an apartment. The people there were saying it was a tornado. Today it is kind of cloudy and I plan on going to see All The King's Men playing at the movie theatre. I hope it will be a good movie. Sundays are a mixed blessing, because it give me one more day to relax. However, tomorrow I go back to work.

Saturday, October 07, 2006

Saturday, I got to sleep in until 8:30 and eat breakfast at the Beacon. We got a new refrigerator in the kitchen and it is already noon. I don't know if I will go see a movie, but I would like too. Glendon, my sister, is about halfway through her day. It looks like a very nice Saturday so far.

It is Friday and it seems that I can't add the picture to the entry on this blog. When you work on it early, the kinks have to be worked out. I am going to try it again to see if it will come in this time. It should take some time, because it is a part of the series of pictures I took over the Olsteen bridge. I am lapping down my coffee like a cat video where the cat would be saying "yum, yum, yum". I talked with my sister Glendon and she is ready to tackle the day at work. This starts her work weekend, but it finishes up my work week. The picture finally came through after three times. I am glad it captures what I have been seeing on my trip home from work.

Thursday is here

I am ready for the weekend, but there is one more day. Glendon my sister has to be at work tomorrow at 7 in the morning. She does this also on Saturday and Sunday. At least, I can catch up on my sleep on Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday, Lillian and I ate Chinese and the food was as good as I always remembered. When we were leaving more people were coming in to have their lunch. It is suppose to rain on the weekend and I at least can stay inside at home. I hope today and tomorrow both go super smooth so Saturday will be here soon.

Middle of the Week

The type of flower that I have been seeing on my way home over the Olsteen Bridge is a Blackeye Susie. There have been big batches of Blackeye Susies like several bouquet of flowers. The weather has been really nice for driving this past week. I heard rain showers over the weekend which will be ok, but I still like the nice weather. The rain trees in Orlando have been bloomed out for a while. They are now to the partially pink and yellow stage where some of the blooms have already turned brown. I hope Lillian and I eat Chinese this week for lunch. I haven't had my won ton soup and I look forward to getting a cup. Plus, we both make it back to work in good time after lunch.

Mom and I watch the Batchlor in Rome last night. He had 25 beautiful young ladies who wanted to find a idea man to marry. The Batchlor is cute and a real royal Italian Prince who can't tell a good woman when he sees one. He let go an American Italian girl who was a bit short in height, but gorgeously good looking. She also spoke fluent Italian which was more than the Batchlor spoke and his history came from Italy. I think he wasn't in control, because she showed off her skills in speaking Italian which lost her the rose in the rose ceremony. The rose determines whether you the suitor stays or returns home back to America. I guess the coffee is sharpening my thinking skills for the morning. I will need this energy for work.

Monday a new day

The water in the ocean was just right. If this sounds like a Goldie Locks story, you are exactly right. I went into the ocean several times last evening and just soaked in the salt water waves. My shorts became heavy with salt water, but I didn't mind. It just felt so good like a sauna bath where you pay lots of money. Today it is back to work and Lillian has Yom Kippor where you fast from sundown to sundown. This means I eat lunch alone today, but tomorrow she will be back and we will meet another friend for lunch at Red Lobster.

If you want a scary site, take a magnifying glass and look at the tiny dry scales on your hand. I did look at my hand and it was a reminder that I need to keep tons of lotion ready for my dry skin. Seeing things from a distance it doesn't look so bad, but up close I felt like something out of a mummy movie. It is Sunday October 1, 2006 and I had my first cup of coffee, talked with my sister Glendon who was getting ready for her day at work. There are no hurricanes coming to Florida, because we are protected by a high ridge of dry air. Hurricane season ends November 30, 2006 and I hope we get by without any real bad weather. I am still waiting for the cooler 50's and 60's weather to put a nip in the air and a spring in my step. I see Publix has already started to sell pumpkins for $6.99. May Sunday be a good day for everyone and the new week be nice too.
