Afternoon thoughts

Lunch was very good. I got tired with the show "Gunsmoke." The actor Victor French was on and he was some sort of big shot in the Calvary that was drunk and stayed in a state of rage. My neighbor across the street is going for a car ride thanks to her mom. Debbie, my neighbor has made a remarkable recovery from a stroke. She uses a walker, but gets around pretty good. Mom went grocery shopping at Publix. They are having a buy one get one free sale. Mom is buying eight pieces of fried chicken is $4.99. I figured that would be nice to eat and no preparation work to be done with the chicken. This picture was taken on the 27Th. beach entrance at their park. I first went to the old Winn Dixie where I took the eagle picture and there was a guy with his fishing pole , but no exciting bird to take a picture shot. The waves down at the beach were kicking up. I just heard a helicopter down at the beach probably going up and down the coastline. I saw a guy at the park on 27Th. who was very reflective in his feelings as he looked over the ocean of endless water. The water goes on to the horizon line and then seems to disappear. I know this isn't the case based on the trip, I took to the Bahamas way back in 1989. It just felt like a skip across the lake.

I remember the show Gunsmoke. I was surprised to learn that James Arness played the alien creature (the Thing) in the movie of the same name, The Thing. I remember Dennis Weaver who played his deputy and walked with a limp. Dennis Weaver was replaced by Ken Curtis who played a comedic character Festus.

I like it when the grocery stores have the buy one, get one free specials because it is quite a savings. I will have to check the Publix sale ads online on a regular basis so that I can know when they are having a sale. Yesterday for lunch Mary made barbeque chicken sandwiches with the last two pieces of barbeque chicken. She put them onto a large Cobblestone Bakery hamburger bun. They were good. When I returned from my fasting blood test this morning I had some toast made with raisin bread. I offset the calories raisin bread by having a diet cola. It is like the scales of justice. Put the bad foods on one side and the good foods on the other side and hopefully the scale will tip to the good side. Good reasoning? Sort of like it is okay to eat broken cookies because they don’t have as many calories as whole cookies. Sound a little bit like illogical logic? Now that I have you completely confused I will sign off. Have a nice day. Lew
