Another sunny day

This is Monday the last day of August in the year 2009. Tomorrow starts September which Lew says has the most hurricanes. At least, the shuttle Discovery got off the ground and should be at the space station by now. The kids should be back in school learning and staying away from the beaches on regular basis. My friend Dick lives in an apartment with a pool. He is glad when the kids go back to school because he has more time to himself in the pool. He doesn't like to share the pool with some screaming kids. Speaking of kids, we now have neighbors across the street moving into the rental house. The lights go on across the street. There were some young women cleaning yesterday. Maybe today the people with the little toddler will move in. I think this would be cool! Today is garbage day, but not until the sun comes up. I want to be sure the raccoons don't get into the garbage. I think it is going to be another sunny day. Enjoy the weather!

That is a pretty hibiscus in the picture. Looks like the one that Lillian had in her hair when you took her picture once. At least I think that you took it. She had a bright red hibiscus behind her ear. The hibiscus reminds me of hollyhock flowers. There was a small group that grew across the strewet from the house that I grew up in. I was fascinated by them and thought that they were really pretty flowers because of their size and color. But when I returned for a visit recently, they were gone and a large and very tall hedge was there in its place. What had been a field now has a house on it and I guess that the hedge was probably for privacy. I am glad to hear that your friend Dick is doing well. Has your mom or Lillian ever heard how Ben from the chemistry lab is doing? I rarely talked to him but when I did he seemed pleasant. Speaking of pleasant, have a pleasant and leisurely day.
