I was looking up famous people whom I share a birthday. One was Barbara Bush, another Nancy Sinatra, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Frank Lloyd Wright was a cool architect who built buildings with unique designs. Frank Lloyd Wright was born in 1867. He died before 1960. His buildings were futuristic and non traditional. I did go see the movie "UP" by Pixar. Pixar is a company related to Disney. The movie was fun, but not as heart warming as my friend Dee made it out. The end of the story tied well together where the balloons landed this guy's house on a cliff next to a waterfall where his late wife and he had planned to live all through their marriage. I liked the characters, but I did not fall in love with the characters. I think this movie is a good clean movie designed for kids to have fun. The adults are just the side kick to the childlike innocents this movie portrays. Lew, I hope you go see " Land of the Lost." Did you watch the old series like I did?

Hey, surfs up dude, time for some beach boy music. Sounds like the lingo used by a surfer character played by Sean Penn in the movie The Breakfast Club. The picture looks like good surfing conditions. Gone is the blue water with the jade green breakers, all replaced by shades of gray. You're having a birthday? Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Grady Gammage auditorium on the campus of Arizona State University where I graduated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gammage_Auditorium It is an absolutely beautiful auditorium. I went there to see Gene Roddenberry give a talk about his experiences with the old Star Trek series. He had a reel of Star Trek bloopers that he showed and gave a very interesting presentation. Over 3000 people attended. I had heard that in the early days of the Star Trek conventions that he would go into a city and give a talk to see how much interest there was in Star Trek in that particular city by how many people came to see him. With 3000 people at $10 each = $ 30,000, we had a Star Trek convention 3 months later. I have always been a Star Trek fan because of its hope for the future. Did you make your guesses on the Star Trek space ships? Today we spent the day going to the graduation of three of Mary’s grandsons. All three attended the same school, Lake Howell high school in Seminole County. Two of the boys were the children of one daughter, and the other boy was the child of the other daughter.. It was a nice graduation ceremony, well organized and well entertained. We left for her daughter’s house at 6:30 am and hot home at 3:30 pm. Lunch was at Burger King. We both got whoppers and I got an order of barbeque ribs which have the bone in them and are quite good to split between us. It was a long drive both ways. The graduation ceremonies were actually held at the University of Central Florida. Gotta go. Have a nice dry day. Lew
