Farewell to Jay Leno
I must have fallen asleep during the last "Jay Leno" appearance as host on the "Tonight Show." Monday starts "Conan O'Brien" as new host of the "Tonight Show. Jay Leno will be moving to prime time in the fall. These two pictures I can not connect together to give the illusion of a ship sailing into a storm. Last night I went to 27Th. Avenue to look at the ocean and what I saw was a storm which is the second picture. The boat picture was taken about a week ago. I did not see any boats out on the water during the storm. I did see extra people with cameras trying to take pictures of interesting things like birds and shoreline. I went home when the no-seeums started to bite.

As I understand it, Jay Leno is moving to a 10:00 time slot. I wonder what type of show it will be. What a lucky break for that Conan O'brien. Speaking of sailing into a storm, did you see The Perfect Storm starring George Clooney? I thought that it was great. Since I liked the movie so much that is probably the reason that I watch the episodes of Deadliest Catch (Alaskan crab fishermen) over and over again. I just seem to find it fascinating. Mary had a steak for supper tonight and at my insistance I had a barbeque pulled pork sandwich. I am a barbeque fanatic and I would rather have a good tasting barbeque sandwich over a steak. I am not really much of a steak eater anyway. I think the reason is that I like my beef well-done. I don't like seeing any pink at all because to me that means undercooked. When you cook a steak to well done, all that cooking makes the steak tough and hard to chew. So I opted for the barbeque sandwich which was very good. I had the barbeque on a Texas bun so it was a big meal. Plus we both had baked potatoes. Well, sort of baked potatoes, they were done in a microwave but were really good when lots of butter is applied. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day. Originally Mary was planning on doing the grocery shopping on Monday but we decided to go to the Webster flea market on Monday. On Sunday there is a marathon of the show Operation Repo. I am not sure if that is the name of he show that I like to watch. For some reason I think that the name of the show is Repo Men. There are several different shows about doing repossessions of cars and boats. I will just have to tune in on Sunday to find out. Have a good day. Lew
