Nothing new

I did hear from my former lunch buddy Lillian. She and Aaron (her future husband) are apartment seeking for Lillian's parents and Uncle. The note describing the layout of some of the apartments as being one bedroom with stairs to climb. Some don't have kitchens and some have two bedrooms. Lillian should have an interesting time in Delaware. I did a little planting yesterday of the key lime tree in the front yard. I took out the overgrown grass and twig stuff which was there. I also stuck a small poinsettia in the same area. The soil harvested a few earthworms which was a good thing for the soil. There is a big load of clothes to be hung out to dry. The sun is pretty much out so they should dry good. Mom bought a couple of turkey thighs, so we will have this for dinner tonight. My sister Glendon told me her co-worker Cathy said turkeys have high blood pressure. I have been trying to look something up on the subject which I have been unsuccessful for now. The material which keeps popping up is that lean turkey meat is good for high blood pressure with humans. I wasn't trying to get humans. I wanted the bird's blood pressure. How would someone measure a turkey's blood pressure? How do they know if the pressure is good or bad? Do they compare it to human blood pressure? The mystery is still unsolved.

The picture must have been taken late in the afternoon because the shadows are cast long. If you look at the closest wave which is breaking in the magnified mode, it has a transluscent jade green appearance to it. That is what the color reminds me of, jade. The waves rolling in is very pleasant to look at. It is as if I could almost hear the surf. When I lived in San Diego I lived in an apartment a couple of blocks from the bay and so the clothes dried very quickly on the clothesline from the onshore brisk wind off the bay that was ever present.
I don't know what to tell you about the blood pressure of turkeys. It is probably important for the commercial turkey farmers because there are thousand and thousands of turkeys under their care. Agriculture today is done so scientifically.
I got my telescope "quasi" collimated. It was a struggle. I used my erfle eyepiece which I like because the erfle lenses have a high degree of eye relief. Now I just have to get the telescope mounted back into its "holding cradle" and then attach the whole assembly to a tripod and I will be ready to go. It is a small telescope. A 4 1/2" Newtonian reflector. I still have my refrating telescope as a back-up also.
"Set it and forget it!" Yep, we cooked a whole large chicken on our Ron Poppeil Showtime rotisserie. The chicken turned out very good. Mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables on the side and homemade cherry cobbler by Mary for dessert. It was quite good. Tomorrow, we will be going to Wal-mart for some light shopping. Hasn't the weather been really nice? I wish that the temperature would stay at 70 but I know that it won't. Have a good evening. Lew
