Friday with the heat

Time just seems to progress forward. It is already Friday June 12, 2009. It seems nice inside with the air conditioning running. Daylight is coming around and it is just after six in the morning. My sister goes to work today and she won't be doing anymore blackberry picking until Monday. She also said she finished up the cake and the blackberry pie. She wants to get more pie crust to make some more pies. The temperature is suppose to get in the 90's today and tomorrow. It sure makes for good drying weather. It takes no time at all waiting for something to dry off of the clothes line.

Remember when. Remember when we were all so happy that it was Friday and the weekend was ahead of us and we could rest for a couple of days? Now every day is a weekend day but there is still some of that excitement about Fridays left. I guess that it is just a habit for Friday to be a feel-good day. Have you seen your friend Turtle lately? Pretty soon it will probably be too hot to go to the beach. Today I go to my doctor for my annual physical. Something he insists on doing each year. I prefer to go to the doctor only when I am sick. But that is getting harder to do because I sometimes have to wait so long for an appointment that I will be over my cold before I can get in to see him. Does your camera have one of those lithium ion rechargeable batteries or the AA alkaline battery. I like the lithium ion battery in my new camera because I don't have to keep buying new batteries. I have a bag full of AA batteries that are gradually getting used up in flashlights, clocks, remote controls, etc. The AA leftover batteries are all from my old HP digital camera. Yesterday I opened the freezer door to get some ice and I commented to Mary how good the nice cold air blowing out felt. Yesterday when I was done with working in the yard, I came into the air conditioned living room and sat in front of the tower fan on high speed while eating a popsicle and a ice cold soda in a glass filled with ice cubes sitting on the coffee table in front of me. In no time at all I was nice and cool. The popsicles are those sugar free ones and I like the tropical flavored ones better than the regular ones. Anyway, have a nice day and sit as close to the air conitioner as possible like I do. Lew

Sounds like you're an early riser like me. I also get up early. Usually around 5:00 am or 5:30 am. The chihuahua usually paws on the side of the bed at that time to let me know that he has to go outside to use the restroom. He is like an alarm clock. Tonight for supper Mary made these large pasta shells and stuffed them with tuna salad and put them onto a bed of lettuce. We also put some salad dressing on them. They were good. This was followed by the last of the glazed donuts for dessert. The large pasta shells were shaped like seashells. You know, the kind of seashells that seaside sells by the seashore. LOL. By the way, my brothers first wife took a part-time job in a shell shop in Cocoa Beach back in the 60's selling seashells to the tourists that came in. Have a nice week-end. This might be a good week-end for you and your mom to fire up the barbeque grill and have some hot dogs or hamburgers cooked outside. Take care. Lew
