Did you put your flag out today?

I saw the neighbor with her flag out, but I didn't get mine out today. It was nicer indoors watching old movies. Breakfast was bacon, egg and some buckwheat pancakes. It is nice to be indoors with the air conditioning and some cool drink with lots of ice. With all the rain, I just watch the green stuff grow. The bird in the bag is still bringing twigs and I think earth worms into the bag. I can not tell if she is still in the bag when she goes into the bag. I don't even see the eggs now. However, since she claims the bag we won't disturb her until she is known to be gone. I wish the picture would hurry up, so I can turn off the computer. I heard thunder outside and I don't want the computer to be caught.

I really like the car but not the buckwheat. Nice picture. Beautiful car.

I second the "no" vote on the buckwheat. When I was young my mom always made buckwheat pancakes. I didn't care for the taste or the texture of them. They just didn't seem to puff up the way regular pancakes did. I would beg and plead and whine with her to make the regular pancakes but she said that she liked buckwheat pancakes and continued to make them for breakfast on the week-ends. To make matters worse, she always bought Karo syrup for the pancakes. I liked maple syrup so I begged and pleaded and whined about the Karo syrup and asked to her buy maple syrup. Once again I lost my plea. She said that Karo syrup was cheaper than maple syrup. I guess that there was just no negotiating. However, I must admit that one time she did buy a tin of log cabin maple syrup. It was really neat. It was in the shape of a log cabin and painted in great detail on the outside of the tin to look like a log cabin. And to make it even better, The pouring spout was the chimney. I had a lot of fun using it and when it was empty I cleaned it and saved it for the longest time. I had a lot of childhood treasures to go along with the childhood memories. I agree that the car is really nice. It must be nice to be rich and have cars like that. I remember Jackie Gleason once saying "I've been rich and I've been poor. And rich is better." But I am not complaining. I have my health and my friends and that is what is important. Have a nice day. Lew
