Counting the days

The neighbor's across the street are just about gone. All that is left is their car. The last load of furniture was taken out in their open flatbed trailer. The house looked so dark and empty last night. It was kind of spooky. At least when mom and I go off in the evening, we leave some lights on so the place looks friendly when we return home. This picture was taken last night when the weather looked stormy. Some rain did cut loose and the clothes on the clothes line did get wet. The clothes stayed out overnight . I hope they will dry today. I hope to bring them in dry and hang more wet clothes that need to be washed. This is also Lillian's last week of work. Thursday is her last day on the job. She also has her Holiday House party. Wow, it seems too soon. Next Wednesday will be April 1 , Aaron will arrive. Sunday April 5 will be the wedding. Are we ready?

Pardon the pun but behind every cloud is a silver lining. If the clothes on the clothesline get rained on, just consider it a second rinse. That is the optimists way of looking at it. It is raining here. But all is not bad because today it is Church's fried chicken for supper which will be yummy. I know that the cholesterol is bad but it tastes soooo good. Let me borrow the KFC expression of "finger lickin' good". It is sort of like that oriental round symbol which is black on one half and white on the other half. I think that they call it ying and yang. So the taste of fried chicken is the white half and the cholesterol is the black half. If it tastes good, it is bad for you. The same is true of your picture. The large waves look so inviting (the white half) but with the high waves come the rip currents (the black half).
As the weather gets warmer, out will come the barbecue grill for hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken quarters, just not all on the same day. Sometimes I smell the aromas of the neighbors barbecuing and that spurs on the resolve in me to fire up the barbecue myself. You mentioned about the opening for a restaurant and movie reviewer but I think that I would like to be a bit more specialized in the restaurant reviews, like only barbecue restaurants. Sounds good to me. Well, have a nice day and stay dry. Lew
