Back home

In honor of ST. Patrick's day, I felt it appropriate to take a picture of a green lawn. I am very happy to be back at the beach. Both mom and I were very tired after our trip home from Glendon's place in Williston. I had seemed to use up my energy raking leaves. Glendon took mom into town where a book sale was taking place at the local library. Glendon got a book on Emily Post's views on good manners. Glendon fixed us some lunch before we left. The turkey greeted us at the car heading home. She left us calling for her baby chicks which she doesn't have. She went to sit on her nest and lay her one a day egg which is pretty big compared to a chicken egg. I guess the next time we see Glendon it will be for the Lillian wedding. I hope Lillian will be ready.

Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, "There's no place like home". It is true, at home you can just kick back and relax. Has Glendon tried frying up any of the turkey eggs? Do they taste like chicken eggs? Without a Tom, the eggs will be unfertile and so no embryo will grow. Instead, the eggs will just go bad. Today Tammy the cat goes to the vet for a hysterectomy which will cost almost $200. We will leave the house about 8 am to go to the vet. She will get to come home tomorrow. Today is senior Tuesday at the movies at West Oaks mall and we will go to see a movie. Yep, I will get some popcorn and soda as I always do. Movies just aren't the same without the popcorn and soda. I just wish that I could make popcorn at home as tasty as the movie popcorn. I have tried all of the different brands of microwave popcorn but it really isn't as good as the movie popcorn. The Wise company of Wise potato chips fame also makes popcorn and it is pretty good and tastes like the movie theater popcorn. Gotta go. Happy St. Patricks day. We are having corned beef and cabbage for supper in honor of the Irish. And yes, I have my solid green shirt on. Am I Irish? No. Half Dutch, 1/4 English and 1/4 Scotch. Stay dry. It is suppose to rain today. Lew
