Nice evening

The shape of the moon has finally changed from a soccer ball to an oblong shaped flashlight in the darkened sky. I was deeply involved in the beginning of the Christa McCauliffe book where she is giving her acceptance speech where she says she will be taking the ten finalist souls with her into space when she blast off. However, my train of thought was interrupted by my mom who told me about a big giant moon rising in the East. I had to take a look outside to see if what I imagined was true. I envisioned a moon the size of a big giant spaceship hugging the earth in the night sky like a close friend whom you haven't seen in a long time. When I finally peered outside the moon was a soccer size and was emitting a soft whitish yellow glow onto the tips of the palms tingling in the cool late Southern winter wind. The night crickets were chirping their happy tune to an orchestra of other crickets all around the area. This was the kind of night you would wish to be enjoying, if you werer on a tropical island. Today will be filled with packing for our trip to see my sister at her place in Williston. Lots of small packing details which I can not think of this early in the morning.
