Tuesday has started
I am recalling what I can not have this morning. I have to get blood drawn so I am not suppose to eat until afterwards. I am recalling when Mom and I use to travel on train and in the morning in the dining car we would get a Super Deluxe French toast breakfast. The toast was the size of Texas Toast. The French toast had gobs of syrup followed by a big wad of real butter on top along with a white coding called powered sugar.

If you look at the small sailboat on the left side of the picture, the mast is so high as compared to the size of the boat, it seems that the boat would topple over. It is hard to imagine that the boat could remain upright when the sails are deployed and the wind is blowing on the sail. When Mary gets her blood drawn, I always ask them to use a butterfly needle. They are better for small or hard to get veins. I tell the phlebotomist that she is known as the "butterfly lady" because they always use butterfly needles on her. The phlebotomist gets the point and uses a butterfly. They don't like to use the butterfly needles because they are more expensive than regular needles. In the past when they used a regular needle they would have to stick her 2 or 3 times before getting the blood sample. Good luck on your blood draw. Whenever Mary has a blood draw, we always go down to the hospital cafeteria and have a big cup of coffee and a giant muffin with butter or some other equally rich pastry. Have a nice day and here's hoping that you don't get too big of a black-and-blue bruise mark on your arm. Lew
