Happy Day

This is a sunset picture from last night. It was taken on the North end of the beach past the North Flagler entrance. I can not believe it is already the middle of the week. The days are going by so fast. I went outside early this morning and it wasn't too buggy. Plus, the air was a bit cool. The Summer season must be winding down. Brevard has sent their kids back to school. Pretty soon, the other counties will do the same. Dinner was a shrimp salad. I don't know what it will be today. There were no boats on the water when mom and I viewed the ocean last night. I hope today will be a nice day with good things happening like me getting my CD from Borders.

A nice picture with the orange tones and reddish-browns. Did you use a colored filter on your camera to get all orange colors or was the sky really that color? A phenomenon known as the sahara sands can cause spectacular sunsets. They usually come in July but I haven't noticed the sahara sands yet this year. It is dust kicked up in the sahara desert transported here by the tropical trade winds. I know when it comes because the dust always irritates my eyes. The sahara sands would have given you a sunset like in your picture.
It is good that you and your mom had shrimp salad for supper what with all of those shrimp boats offshore. Shrimp there should be fairly inexpensive. Mary and I were full from the Auntie Anne's pretzels from the mall and the popcorn from the movies so we had egg drop soup with fresh baked corn muffins. I had cherry jello topped with whip cream for dessert and Mary had a banana for dessert. The Ocoee police department is having an open house today of their new police station. It is from 11 - 4:30. Mary and I plan on arriving around 11:30. Hopefully they will have hot dogs as part of the refreshments. If not, there is always Arby's since it is Wednesday and that means free roast beef sandwiches with the purchase of a drink. Have a good day and thanks for the pictures. I especially liked the very first picture in the series. Lew
