Viewing a grey evening
We had some rain, but to me it just hasn't seemed enough. The sky has been a soft gray and the heat is a thing of the past. I made potato salad yesterday. We have a small contain to have for lunch today. We also had cube steaks for dinner. Mom and I went to the beyond a couple of streets North end. There was an entrance at a park. We parked pretty close , so there wouldn't be far to walk. We looked and took some picture and left. It seemed like a pretty routine evening. "America's got talent" was on and I watched bits and pieces. The evening seemed pretty good.

Potato salad is a great summer time dish. It goes really good with either hot dogs or hamburgers. I have been procrastinating but I have to get out the small table-top gas barbeque grill and cook some hamburgers on the grill. Chicken is great done a grill also. When I lived in a garden apartment in San Diego, the apartment complex had numerous heavy iron pedestal mounted gas grills. Fortunate for me there was one right outside my door so I use to barbeque chicken fairly often. It was very convenient having one of the gas grills that close. The large heated swimming pool with a steaming hot bubbly jacuzzi was also about 8 steps from my door. It was a very nice apartment complex with lots of vegetation landscaping which is why they were called garden apartments. It was almost like living in a garden. So fry (not boil) some hot dogs on the stove and serve them on a large bun with some potato salad and pretend that you are at a picnic. To make it even better, eat on TV trays in front of the TV. That is always a fun thing to do. It is so casual. Have a nice day and don't forget it is mustard, relish, and onion on a hot dog, no ketchup. Lew
