Last day of June
Today is Farrah Fawcett's private funeral. Today is also the last day of June. We got two good soakings from the rain yesterday. Today, I hope for more rain. The rain helps keep the temperature from climbing into the 90's. Dinner was cream of turkey which was made with cream of mushroom soup, English muffins and leftover turkey. It was a great way to get rid of the leftover turkey. I pretty much gobbled it up.
This is a picture of the Gardenias that smelled so good and lasted a short time. I do miss the odor and the white flowers. I guess maybe next year it will be back.

"I pretty much gobbled it up." A great pun. I like it. I don't think that anybody ever eats the cream of mushroom soup by itself as a soup but instead uses it as a gravy, especially in green bean casserole for covered dish events. I have no idea how much green bean casserole I have eaten over the years but I can assure you that it is a lot. It seems to pop up at every party. You wish for rain and I am confident that your wish will be come true. The grass seems to be growing so fast with all of the rain that we have had. So just relax and sit in front of the window with a cup of coffee and watch the grass grow. Have a cool day and have a "cool" day also. Lew
