Starting a new week
Monday seems to go by so fast. The weekend just seemed to fly. Maybe, because of the heat and staying indoors the time just escaped me. Still, I can not think of a more pleasant experience than to stay away from the heat of the day and escape into " Andy Griffith." This picture was taken from underneath the South bridge. Sometimes you can get a real good wind from underneath the bridge. I think this time the wind was very small. Mom drove by last evening to the North end of the beach. She said the beach goers were very color full, but the ocean was like a lake. It was very still looking off in a distance and very little wave action near the shoreline.

A nice picture of the heron. Did you notice the fine detail that you got in the wing feathers? You see it best in the enlarged mode. This is very good for a bird in flight when you would expect for the picture to be blurred. It has to be that large lens on your camera. I even try holding my breath as I snap a picture and sometimes they still come out blurred. I always snap extra pictures and then choose the one with the least amount of motion. According to the weatherman, today should be the last of the very high heat. At least for now (August is coming). I went out into the garage at 5:30 this morning and it was like a sauna. I stepped outdoors and it is like a sauna out there also. I let the cat out at 5:30am and when Mary got up at 7:00am she said that the cat was at the back door panting so she brought the cat inside. Normally the cat wants to be outside all of the time. But not today. She wants to be inside where it is nice and cool. She just lies stretched on her side on the living room carpet. Sometimes when she sleeps she likes to twist her head so that it is upside down. It looks as though it would be uncomfortable but she seems to like it. Tony, her brother does the same thing. I don't know why they like doing that. Today I am going to get my drivers license renewed. I will just go to a tag agency out of convenience. As far as the Andy Griffith show, I liked Barney Fife the best. He made me laugh. And Lost in Space? Yep, Dr. Smith was my favorite character. What a scoundrel he was. I think that I watched every episode of Lost in Space at least three times. The robot on Lost in Space reminded me of the robot Robbie in the movie The Forbidden Planet which I have seen umpteen times over the years. Anyway, have a good day watching TCM. Lew
p.s., Could I have another glass of lemonade? Stay cool.
