The calm before the storm
Yesterday there was rain in the afternoon, but it cleared out in the evening. The weather was nice. My sister Glendon said the weather was nice. She is having trouble getting any television stations where she is located. The converter box doesn't seem to help; even though, she scans the stations like they tell her. The signals doesn't seem to cover Levy County. She misses her analog stations and says" the digital is not what it is cracked up to be. " My mom fried up a Porter House Steak from Food Lion for dinner. She served this along with a spinach salad. Both were very good and I was trying to get the juices from the bone. I wonder if we will have spaghetti for dinner this evening? Mom got the sauce and I have been wanting it, since I heard Lew had spaghetti.

I hope that you got to have the spaghetti for supper. I like it, especially the garlic bread. My favorite brand of spaghetti sauce is Ragu. It is sweet and not acidic like most spaghetti sauces. What is nice is to make a double batch and then you have some ready to go for another meal. On occassion Mary will get some frozen meatballs and add to the Ragu sauce but most of the time she fries up some hamburger and adds that to the Ragu sauce. I have heard of people having trouble with those converter boxes. I agree that they should have just stayed with the analog. Can you sister get cable? If she did, then she wouldn't need the converter box. We have cable and I like the wide selection of different channels to choose from. Tonight we had chinese lemon chicken with chicken fried rice with large chunks of chicken in it. We also had egg rolls. I also had some LaChoy sweet and sour sauce to put onto the egg roll. This was followed by a croissant pastry with guava jelly in the the center of it. I am full and the meal was very enjoyable. Have a good evening. Lew

One more comment. In the picture the ocean looks choppy which probably means a strong breeze. If you look at the picture in the enlarged mode you can see that the sail on the sailboat is really puffed out from the wind. I just bet that the sailboat is probably going "likkety-split" from the strong wind. Lew
