Saturday at home

The evening has come and the temperature is still warm. I made potato salad today and mom cooked up knockwurst mixed with broccoli and peas. The sky is a solid light blue and the sun is lowering in the West. The day went pretty fast and I am not sure where it went. I only know that I took a neighbor to her beauty saloon appointment and picked her up and took her home. I haven't seen any pelicans or other sea creatures. It has just been a suburb day next to the beach.

"a suburb day" reminded me of the movie The Burbs starring Tom Hanks, Carrie Fisher, and Bruce Dern. It was a really funny movie. It may be available for checkout at your library. We went to WalMart today and when I came out of WalMart around 3:00 pm it was so hot that it reminded me of Arizona. I did some last minute shopping for Mary today. I wanted to get her a celfone also. One with a camera built in. She likes the clamshell design so that it folds up and is protected when she puts it in her purse. Her current celfone doesn’t hold much of a charge and so many times when she goes to use it, the battery is dead. But I want her to be with me when we pick one out so that it is the color and style that she likes. We are going to her daughters house tomorrow morning for Mother’s Day. What did you and Glendon get for your mom? I wrote a very long blog this morning and when I went to post it, there was an error message and I lost the entire post. What a disappointment. I am watering the flower beds and it is time to move the sprinkler. Take care. Lew
