It's laundry day

I like the cool weather, but the laundry sure has piled up high. The nice thing about a warmer weekend is I will get the clothes out on the clothesline to dry. The clothes will smell like fresh air and maybe slightly warmed by the sun. I might even see my hummingbird friend which I nicknamed Tweedles. Mom and I met our friend Lillian for lunch yesterday at the Ocoee Cafe. I pre-ordered my lunch ahead. I ordered a fried chicken dinner with fries and apple sauce and clam chowder. Lillian had a sandwich and fries. My mom had a big bowl of Lima beans and corn bread. Lillian had a start on her invitations. Mom filled ours out at lunch . Mom ordered a Ruben and Matzo ball soup for her wedding menu and for me it was chicken and Matzo ball soup. The invitations have little maps inside which is cool, so people know how to get to the wedding. Mom stated to Lillian " so this is really going to happen." This statement seemed like a final farewell to Lillian as a single person. She is in for more grand adventures ahead.

It looks as though the person in the photo is having fun chasing the seagulls. Did you notice the pigeons mixed in with the seagulls? I guess that they want a handout of food as well. The picture has nice clarity and detail to it. You must have had a short exposure time because you got some of the seagulls in flight without any blurring. Tonight for supper Mary made barbeque ribs cooked in a slow cooker. The slow cooker makes the meat so tender that it easily comes off the bones. She also made baked potatoes (large ones) and we had mixed vegetables also. Of course chocolate cake with chocolate icing and colored sprinkles was for dessert. But not to worry, I had diet soda with my supper to make up for the cake. It was good. I like anything you can name so long as it has the word "barbeque" in front of it. This afternoon we watched the comedy Three Amigos starring Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short. We got the DVD from the library. Have a good evening. Lew
