Last night we went to Mary’s daughters (Rhonda) house whom I can only describe as the consummate hostess. The dining table was absolutely elegant with the table linens (even the napkins were linen and placed in napkin rings). You get the picture. Elegance. Like something out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. After a sumptuous feast of very generous portions of rib roast and all he trimmings, we all retired to their family room which has a very big screen television in it, DVD library with over 300 DVD's, and of course their computer, to exchange gifts and open them. So Christmas came very early. Rhonda and her husband Guy (works out with weights) got me a brown faux fur comforter which was lined with brown satin. The comforter of course was filled with some type of filling to keep me warm. It was quite large and had to have been expensive. It was quite nice and generous of her and her husband. It was a little noisy in the family room because everybody was talking to everybody at the same time. But everybody was having fun. After a while we departed, came home, and I watched some of Dog the Bounty Hunter marathon (reruns) and Parking Wars, which is about people in Philadelphia getting parking tickets, booted, towed, and their difficulties at trying to get their car released from the city impound lot. Doesn’t sound like it would be interesting, but it is. I went to bed and had a miserable night due to a cold. You know how when you have a cold there is one night at its peak when you are absolutely miserable? Well, last night was it for me. I am glad to get that peak night over with me because now I will be on the mend and feeling better each day. Your friend David whom you took videos of while he rode shooter looks like a pretty laid back and easy going person. It was nice of him to sing Happy Trails for you as you videotaped (and he did a pretty good job of singing the song). He reminds me of a fellow who use to live down the street named Hargus. He was one of the most gentlest and easy going persons I have ever met. He also was tall and slender. But he moved to Kentucky where he has relatives. Has Joe showed you how to operate the microscope yet? The focusing is probably the hardest thing to figure out how to do, but once learned, it is easy. Have a nice Christmas and Christmas feast.
