Reflections on the water
I applaud the guy who makes it back to the workforce. This young man with a grown son got a phone call from his former boss calling him back to work. He is a welder by trade and makes 27 dollars an hour. This is over three times what I made when I worked and I didn't even get medical benefits and he does. He also gets to work on the Cape and see what goes on behind the scenes when a shuttle goes up and comes back from space. He is pretty happy to have his old job back and both mom and I are happy for him. Mom thought this would make an interesting picture. These are cloud reflections on the water.

To get recalled back to work after being laid off is very fortunate indeed. Recession - when the other person is out of work. Depression - when I am out of work. It is all a matter of perspective. Have a nice day. Lew

By the way, the ripples and refelctions in the water make for a nice picture. The picture reminds me of those pictures at greeting card sites where there is rippling water and the image moves with the ripples. It is a neat effect. Do you know the ones that I mean? I started the shopping today for Mary's birthday presents. It will take me several days at least to accomplish it. I am a very slow shopper but I am sure that I can finish before her birthday on the 13th of October. Some of her items are a small portable MP3 player for when she is working outside, an AMC movie card with a substantial amount of money on it for our Tuesday excursions to the movies, an ice cream cake, plus she gets a free dinner cruise on the Rivership Romance. We have been on it numerous times and it is always fun and pleasant. The meals (there are 5 or 6 to choose from) are gourmet, and cruising up and down the St. John's river and also across Lake Munroe is great. I will try to make it as much fun as possible for her. Lew
