Friday the start of a grocery shopping weekend

This is a pleasant picture along the North Bridge of New Smyrna Beach at Sunset. Today, I am hoping to get the plants back outside to soak up the heat. I also want to run a load of clothes to be placed on the clothes line to dry. Mom has to have blood test done this morning. I don't have to get mine until the middle and the end of February. I have blood drawn for the blood doctor and my regular doctor. They both get their supplies from my left arm. It gives blood better than my right arm. I like shopping at Publix better than Winn Dixie. The aisles look more interesting at Publix and I grow tired looking for items in the aisles at Winn Dixie. I was fussing because I thought the wine was on the last aisle where the yogurt and butter were located. It turned out the wine was on the first aisle straight past the vegetables at Winn Dixie. Mom goes to the farmer's market on Saturday. She tries to get the freshing lettuce and other cooking vegetables for us to eat for dinner. She gets a better price value there than in the stores.

You're right. It is a pleasant and peaceful picture. It just says "it is time to sit and rest". I find the picture very relaxing. The glow of the sunset gives a golden hue to the water. What ever happened to that houseboat that had "that sinking feeling".
If I should ever win the lottery then I would shop only at Publix. Their stores are brightly lit, with wide aisles, the shelves are well blocked, good selection, and friendly helpful employees. But, until I do win the lottery I prefer Wal-mart because of their lower prices. Mary has a special HP photo printer. It prints only
4 x 6 pictures with very high detail. It has only one ink cartridge that is a color cartridge. The ink ran out in the cartridge. I checked on-line at Wal-mart and they had it for $ 26 but their site said that it was not available at the stores and was only available to order on-line. Mary was anxious to print some pictures and so I told her that I would pick up the cartridge at Best Buy. They had it but it was $ 31. $ 5 more than Wal-mart but instantly available so I got it. I then went to Wal-mart to get a gift card for on-line ordering. While there I deicded to check to make sure that they really didn't have that model ink cartridge. They didn't have just the cartridge and so their on-line advice was right. But they did have a combo pack with the cartridge and 100 sheets of 4 x 6 photo paper for $ 31. The same price as Best Buy. I bought the combo pack and took the Best Buy cartridge back to Best Buy for a refund. So Wal-mart really is appreciable less expensive.
According to the weatherman, today is the last of the cold days for a while so enjoy the chilly nip in the air while you can. Open the doors and windows and let all of that "free" air conditioning into the house. By the way, todays picture was nice and crisp with a lot of detail when viewed in the magnified mode. Sometiems the pictures are a little blurred. Try taking some "insurance pictures". That is what I do. I had a professional photographer tell me that when he takes pictures with a 35 mm camera that he always takes three pictures: one at the correct exposure setting and one above and one below the correct exposure setting. These two extra pictures he referred to as his "insurance pictures" in case the first picture was a little too bright or a little too dark. I was told this when computers didn't exist yet (around 1968). But I take extra pictures because I am plagued with blurriness from motion. I try holding my breath when I take the picture or leaning against something or both. It is a real problem for me because my camera has a small lens. I still haven't found a satisafactory solution so I always take several pictures and pick the best one. After all, the pictures are free since there is no film to develop. Well, I guess that I have written too much so I will end for now. Have a nice day. Lew
