Pretty Sunday
I got a late start this afternoon. I wasn't feeling well this morning. My juices have been recharged. Tonight, dinner will be a beef stir fry. I think it will take real good. I liked the big tossed salad we had yesterday for dinner. Tomorrow it is homemade fried chicken and potato salad. I am really looking forward to this dinner. It is very sunny, warm and a slight breeze. I can see the palm tree blow in the breeze. Across the street, there is a tropical tree that could be a palm but I am not sure is blowing in the breeze. This is the true Florida sunshine. It isn't too hot, it is just right. I like hearing about adventures that other people have over the Memorial holiday. Sunday Morning tv show had a story about taking a vacation at home. It seemed to be a one of a kind idea.

I am still amazed at the detail and clarity of your pictures. They are just great. Tonight we had lemon pepper chicken with boiled potatos, green beans, and garlic bread. The fresh baked apple dumplings are just out of the oven and in the process of cooling. They will be eaten later on. Tomorrow I am going to try cooking hamburgers on a barbeque grill. There will be lots of mayo, ketchup, onion, and relish on my hamburger. Just like at Burger King. I am not sure what Mary will put on hers. She doesn't like a whole lot of condiments on her food. We also have some onion rings in the freezer which will go well or perhaps some baked beans with barbeque sauce. In any case, a feast of kingly proportions. Of course cooking hamburgers outside on a grill will probably guarantee rain (pessimist). Talking about large salads. In Miami there was a yuppie restaurant called The Beverly Hills Cafe which had fabulous salads. They were huge and had all kinds of goodies in them (mandarin orange, pecans, pineaplle, chicken, etc. They were served in a huge bowl They have about 7 or 8 restaurants in the chain in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area but none up here. Mary planted some more of the sunflower seeds near the base of a tree in the back yard. She also transplanted some potato plant vines by the chain link fence in the back yard. They should do quite well there. My single sunflower plant is growing quite well and I am sure that it will give the Riders sunflower a run for its money. Today was mainly handyman day at the house. Several years ago I went to Best Buy to buy a new printer. I wanted one that was of photographic quality. I wanted a Hewlett Packard printer since all of my computer is HP. As I was looking at the printers, there was a salesman there from Epson. He convinced me to buy an Epson printer. After a few months it was time for a new ink cartridge. I was told by the people who do the refills that the Epson cartridges cannot be refilled. So I eneded up using the printer very seldom since the cartridges could not be inexpensively refilled. Today I was thinking of drilling a hole in the top of the cartridge and squirting some ink in. But to be sure I decided to sacrifice one of the cartridges by dissecting it. I found out why they can't be refilled. There is a very small computer chip which probably counts how many times you use it and then inactivates the cartridge. What a disappointment. Besides I get printer ink all over my fingertips. I still have my old HP printer and will keep that one going. Mary took 57 pictures at the Audubon Society and is putting them into a powerpoint presentation. Have you had any luck with your hummingbird feeder in attracting hummingbirds? If the hummingbirds don't drink the sugar water the ants and squirrels will. Not much on television tonight. We watched a DVD titled Masada starring Peter O'Toole and Richard Strauss. It is about the Romans but is a little slow in its story line. Gotta go. Have an exciting day. After all you could be living in Minnesota of Idaho instead of her in Florida and the ocean. Take Care.
