It's Labor day and garbage day

Remember the song " Yakity Yak?" The first line was "Take out the papers and the trash or you don't get no spending cash." I enjoy getting the garbage out on the curb because I won't see it after it is picked up. It is an inner satisfaction of knowing the trash is gone which makes my day wonderful.
I heard the paper being dropped around 4:30 this morning. I have no idea of what the weather is like outside. I know there is a hurricane heading to Louisiana named Gustav. I don't know if Hanna is a tropical storm or Hurricane making a pathway up the East Coast of Florida. What I only know for now is the air conditioning unit in my house. I know the warm cup of coffee which I am really enjoying the flavor. The refrigerator unit takes the place of a cricket inside the house. I can hear in the distance sounds of a summer crickets.
I saw yesterday an ideal moment to take a picture. However, I did not have my camera with me. It was just an ordinary pelican on top of a wooden post inside of the boating dock area. I am kind of fascinated by pelicans. They are so big and walk like a lumber jack. Yet, the gracefulness of their flight is so beautiful. I have compared it to a ballet. Riding the air currents with the wing spread out so far, the pelicans touch only air. The legs are retracted back like the wheels of a plane taking off into flight. One day while I was watching the pelicans fly, I noticed it was harder for them to land when the wind was real strong. They just want to keep riding the air waves like a surfer would ride the water waves.

Yakity Yak. Yes, I remember the song. It was in the movie Twins starring Danny Devito and Arnold Shwartzenagger. Arnold sung the song with his Austrian accent. A nice movie. Have you and your mom ever eaten at The Grille at Riverview? I bet that it is probably expensive. Typically you pay for the view. I think that they call that the "ambiance". Forget the ambiance and give me Cicci's "all you can eat" pizza. Ever think of getting one of those small incredibly inexpensive digital cameras that you can put on a keychain? Then you will always have a camera with you. The resolution isn't so great but handy to have. I keep one of my old HP digital cameras in the glove compartment of my car. In the immortal words of Forrest Gump "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get". Let me add to that "or when a photo opportunity is going to pass by". You and your mom have a nice day. I am having a great day. After all it is September 1 which means that it won't get any hotter, only slowly get cooler. The days are getting shorter which helps also. Stay cool and be happy because the worst of the heat is over. Lew
