Remembering Sonny's in Orlando

Lunch today was at Dustin's down in Edgewater. It is similar to "Sonny's", but not as good as the Pine Hills " Sonny's" that no longer is in business. I remember riding to Orlando the last time mom and I went to the dentist office and passing the" Sonny's " which still had the sign saying something like "Proud to serve the community the past 25 years." which almost makes me want to cry. When there is a top notch business it should be a shining example to the community and treasured and encouraged to continue. Pine Hills deserves a top notch restaurant like Sonny's barbeque. It does have Red Lobster, but I don't know for how long.

Yes, I miss the Sonny's barbeque in Pine Hills also. It was quite convenient to go to and Mary and I went there quite often. For my birthday we were going to go to the Sonny's in Clermont. When we arrived, there was a Cracker Barrel next door and Cracker Barrel is really good so we went there instead. I think that their meatloaf is fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the Sonny's in Clermont. I guess that I will have to try again. For supper on Saturday I am having Lloyd's barbeque pulled beef sandwiches and Mary is having steak. I am a barbeque fanatic. Lloyd's comes in a small red tub and is found in the meat department of grocery stores. It is pretty good. Bon apetit. Lew
