The house boat on the river is still there. There was talk in the local paper that this would be removed because it was considered an eye soar. I saw my little hummingbird zooming around today from flower to flower and then flying away. Dinner tonight was beef stew and hot rolls. The beef stew was thick and good. Tonight is" American Idol" in LA. I am waiting for the big goof ups. I think this is what makes the show special. I still miss Paula from the last Idol. She was really apart of the Idol family.

I agree, the houseboat now looks to be an eyesore. But there was a time when it looked pretty nice and appeared to be floating. I would have loved to have it in its previous condition when it looked good. Interesting that the two seagulls are standing in only a couple inches of water in what appears to be a small river. Beff stew is great, especially the gravy. Any meatload left? Lew
