We arrived
This crazy computer keeps kicking me off when I try to put a picture on the website. I guess I wanted to say mom and I arrived here at my sister's place OK. The turkey gave us a short greeting and the two dogs were present when we arrived. Dinner here was bean soup. We had sandwiches for lunch. I can only imagine what it was like for people to stand in line for the Sarah Palin book signing.

I can understand why people will stand in line for an autographed book. There was an actor by the name of John Houseman. A very distinguished gentleman. He starred in a movie called The Paper Chase which was about a students trials and tribulations in law school. John Houseman played a law professor at the law school in the movie. You may remember him from an old television commercial for an investment firm where he says in a very distinguished voice "We make money the old fashioned way. We earn it." He wrote a two volume autobiography. He did a book signing at a small bookstore in Miami called Books and Books. I stood in line and spoke to him very briefly while he autographed my two books. I never read the books. I just wanted to see him in person. I kept the books for years and finally donated them to a used bookstore that I use to frequent. Fortunately, there wasn't a long line for the book signing. I would probably never do it again though. You know, I think that my comment is longer than your blog, so it is time for me to end. Have as nice day as you cna with the wet weather. Lew
