The end of a weekend

Soft pink clouds layered the sky as evening came so quickly. It is like someone turns out a lamp light here at the beach. Tonight I just stayed home and didn't go out to watch the mothers, dads and young kids play at the beach. Last night mom and I watched a couple of young girls who were rolling down a small sand dune. They had dug a hole in the middle of the dune so that would be their cave and little hide away. They were covered with sand from head to toe and thought nothing about it. Screaming and squealing while throwing sand at each other, they were using all this excess energy that young kids have. The mother had a camera and was lounging in a chair. She didn't think anything about how much good this playing was doing wearing down the energy level of her daughter. When I went to get money for the work week, I got out of the car at the ATM and I could hear the people over at the bar laughing across the street. I can also hear some of the people talking loudly at the beach. I was able to feel the sea breeze that blew threw the parking lot at the bank where the ATM is located. I wasn't able to breath in the salt air from the waters edge, but that is always an important memory when ever I go to the beach. Tonight, I am baking chocolate chip cookies and listening to The Amazing Race and not even thinking about tomorrow. I am just enjoying tonight.

So nice you enjoyed your weekend, quiet and reflective. It's restful to read it.
